How to Install Canon Wireless Printer

1. Switch off the printer. Before starting the installation, wait for at least five minutes.

2. Download the driver from the Canon website (you'll need to sign up for a free account to get the download).

3. Attach your printer to your PC or Mac using the USB cord that was included with it, and then wait while it installs automatically (it should automatically detect your printer).

4. Eliminate the USB connection from your computer ( ij.start.canon ).

5. Set the printer to print. When it is offline, the power light should be blinking orange/red. When the wireless button (located in the center of the printer's control panel) becomes green and flashes quickly, it is ready for pairing. Press and hold this button during this time.

6. When the wireless light on your Canon wireless printer blinks, press and hold the wireless button on your computer or another device until it works.

7. Choose "Select Network Printer" from the Setup menu on your PC or device.

8. Select your wireless network from the list and click OK or Continue.

9. On the following screen, type the printer's name and the password exactly as it appears in the example, ignoring any non-alphanumeric characters (hyphens, etc.) that may be included in your password (one of our printers did not have a password). Click Next without checking the Suitable For Printers box.

10. Once the printer is prepared for use, follow the instructions to complete installation. LED changes to green (must be within 30 feet of the printer).
